"And God is able to make all grace overflow to you,
so that, always having all sufficiency in everything,
you may have an abundance for every good deed." 2 Corinthians 9:8

Elisheva:
Beloved and faithful friends, shalom.
With a heart full of joy we send you much love for your faithfully standing with us in these challenging times. We pray that the Lord will continue to abundantly bless you.
“May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.” Jude 1:2
We are coming to the end of a year that has been different, very different.
This same year gives us many reasons to be thankful.
Daniel writes:
For us the year 2020 has been a very full one!
You may remember that in April, we decided to begin the process of selling the hotel and to replace it with a brand new building that serves as an assisted living facility. These sales and purchase agreements are now well underway and, God willing, we could have a new address in a month, or maybe in two.
We have approached this step with very open hearts, praying to always be sensitive to the Lord’s leading. Therefore we are accepting of whatever outcome He may allow, receiving all things with joy and thanksgiving.
So whether we keep the hotel or move to the new facility is of lesser importance. Wherever we find ourselves, we strongly ask you to pray that we always remain in God’s will.
Elisheva continues:
We experienced that nothing is to be taken for granted and therefore we value so much more what we do have: the abundant grace and the love from God; and you, our brothers and sisters that are on the path with us. We thank God for the possibility to be in touch with the help of today’s technology, we thank Him for the roof above our heads and the food we need each day. What more could we ask?
Initially, we were not allowed to meet with people and we were instructed to stay home. The Jaffa House is practically empty right now, serving as an office and the center of our communications. For weeks no one was allowed to come to visit. Although different than what we are used to, it was curiously a blessing. We were compelled to slow everything down, and subsequently spend more time before the Lord.

And Daniel:
Because of COVID, we have had many occasions to look inward, and we found multiple opportunities to work alongside other local ministries. I feel that Trumpet was afforded a chance to be a real blessing in the local body, through practical assistance and through the small but significant steps towards unifying the family of Israeli believers.
We are pleased to have been joined by two wonderful and seasoned leaders of sister Israeli ministries and churches, who now serve on the Trumpet board with us. This cooperation has been so rewarding and it allows our field of service to expand significantly. I hope in time we will be led to invite others into this growing tent, for deeper and further cooperation and the unifying of all our efforts for the glory of the Lord, here in Israel.
We have extended our hands to some very rewarding efforts in the country; a soldiers’ discipleship program, a newly founded Biblical Research Institute. We also saw the growth of our local church family. Our congregation (under our pastor David) is putting finishing touches to a renovated basement, where many diverse church needs are met – counselling rooms, youth meeting places, church administration, library, bookshop, food distribution and more. |

Elisheva:
We trust the Lord no matter what the future holds, but honestly this year, that trust was surely put to test. Praise God, the Lord has managed to keep our faith alive. And with much less activity in our daily lives, we tended to focus more on what really matters. We were able to re-structure our lives and set priorities in a new and better way.
We learned to invest more time in relationships and we also became more creative. Such joy it is to see that you, our friends stay connected with us, that you pray for us and support us even though we are not able to be outwardly active, and all our programs are seemingly put on hold for a season…or longer. This is overwhelming and more encouraging to us than we can express!
Daniel:
So there has been much fellowship with our brothers and sisters here, and for this we are exceedingly thankful. Praise be to God! What we now yearn for, is to be reunited with our family and friends abroad, that is all of you. What a crowning moment it would be to introduce you all to the expanded new Trumpet circle, to pray together, praise together and serve together, all to the glory of our mighty Lord and Savior!
Elisheva:
What does the future bring? At the moment it looks like the Lord is leading us to sell the hotel and get a nursing home instead. You might remember that already two years ago the Lord had put this on our hearts, to get into the medical field. What is happening around us now looks like confirmation. The situation in nursing homes in Israel is far from ideal and we hear that there are not enough places for Messianic believers to be cared for in a Christian environment. We would love to make a difference here, God willing.
We are slowly conquering our
“Gilgal Farm”. After two years of hardly being on the farm there is a lot of cleaning up to do. We ordered greenhouses and applied for the permits to put them up. We are getting to know the people from the village and are working on getting several farmers together in order to sell our produce straight to the consumer instead of going through shops and supermarkets.

|
Working on the farm is such a joy. |

And Daniel:
Please remember Jacob, our quiet but ever present brother. He remains strong and apparently accepting of his condition. We are thankful there are no signs of pain or discomfort. He remains a daily reminder to us of endless energy, and a joyful submission in service to his Lord. |
|
|
The days on Gilgal Farm are a blessing. |

Elisheva:
Thankfully we did manage to host Lech L’cha (a young adults’ discipleship program) for a blessed long weekend and Be’ad Chayim (a pro-life advocacy group) for a conference. It was just exciting to hear worship, good teaching, prayer, happy chatter and laughter everywhere in the otherwise empty hotel building.
“Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, that is, Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”
Hebrews 13:20-21
With much blessing from your Trumpet Team
